Prayer Against Any Distractions
Hebrews 12:2
“fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Dear Lord,
I praise You for a new day that You have blessed me with. Thank You for sustaining me through the night, and waking me up to a new morning.
As I start my day, I know that there are a lot of things vying for my attention.
It is so easy to get distracted by things that are not beneficial or that take up a lot of time, and rob me of my focus and of spending time on what is actually important or necessary for the day.
Though my desire is to remain focused, I know that there are times when I am sidetracked by distractions or lose my aim for the day.
My prayer is that You would help me to be disciplined and to avoid distractions.
If I do get distracted, please help me to regain my focus and to get back to what I need to do.
Help me to take breaks when possible or necessary if I am needing to recharge a bit.
Please help me to remember the kingdom mission that You have placed in my heart, and help me to fix my eyes on You throughout the day.

Prayer to Trust in the Lord
Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Father,
I am so grateful to know You and to be known by You.
It’s amazing that there is not a single thing that You don’t know about me and yet You love me despite myself.
Even when I fear, or doubt, or when I am anxious, I know I can come to You and find You there ready to receive me.
As I set out for the day, I can easily forget to turn to You and to lean on You.
Please forgive me for the many times that I have gone about my day without acknowledging You or my dependence on You.
I need You everyday, and I every moment. My prayer is that You would help me to rely on You today.
Please help me not to lean on myself or my own understanding of things.
Grow my reliance on You in every area of my life, whether in needs or in guidance.
I know that Your ways and thoughts are much higher than my own.
Grow my trust in You, and help me to trust in You with all my heart.
Help me to submit every way and part of my life to You.

A Prayer for Wisdom
James 1:5
“ If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Heavenly Father,
All wisdom and understanding belong to You.
Today I am in awe of the fact that there is no one who compares to You, not in Your power or might, not in Your understanding or wisdom and not in Your glory or honor.
There is no match for You.
The fact that I get to know You and have a relationship with You is such an amazing grace that I get to experience every day.
As I prepare for the day ahead, there are decisions, situations and conversations that will receive wisdom and guidance.
I ask that You would please bless me with Your wisdom and understanding for the day ahead.
Help me not to lean on my own understanding, but to seek You both in prayer and through the word.
Your word says that those who lack wisdom should ask for it from You, and that You will give generously to all without reproach.
I ask that You would pour Your wisdom into my heart and mind and allow it to overflow into all the areas of my life.
Help me not to be led by human wisdom or comprehension but by Your Spirit and word alone.

A Prayer for Protection
2 Thessalonians 3:3
“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.”
Lord,
Thank You for keeping me safe and protected throughout the night.
I am grateful for Your love and protection over my life each and every day.
Thank You for Your faithfulness to me, and for being an ever present God who I can always turn to.
My prayer today is that You would please protect me during this day, and be with me in every moment.
Please shield me from any harm, and protect me from any plans of the enemy against me.
I ask that You would clothe me in Your armor, placing the shield of salvation on my head, the breastplate of righteousness on my chest, the belt of truth around my waist, and the shoes of the gospel of peace on my feet.
Help me to remember that it is not flesh and blood that we war against but the spiritual, please help me to hide against the shield of faith and to fight with the sword of the Spirit in hand, which is Your precious word.
Please protect my mind as well as my body, and help me to fix my thoughts on You.

A Prayer for Contentment
Philippians 4:11-13
“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. “
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
Father in Heaven,
Thank You so much for Your mercy and grace that You have showered on me.
Thank You for not giving me what I deserve and for giving me what I don’t deserve and didn’t earn, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ my Lord.
Before Christ, all my heart knew was sin and shame. But in Christ You have made me a new creation.
The world is no longer my home or my final destination.
Though there will be times of trails and times of suffering, I know that in Christ all things work out for the good of those who love Him.
Keeping this in mind, I ask that You would help me to grow in contentment.
Please keep me from comparing myself and my circumstances with those of others.
Help me not to be envious of others, especially of the world and its comforts.
Like Paul, help me to find contentment in You in all circumstances. Remind me that You are my portion and my ultimate treasure.
